Charles Huteau (Director Creativo Ubisoft Barcelona)

Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal studio for ten years before moving to Barcelona in 2018. From Xbox Kinect projects to the first VR game of the company “Eagle Flight”, Charles Huteau is specialized in new technologies, focusing on exploring new mediums to tell immersive stories and create exciting worlds to play with.

"As a Creative Director, I can dream up the wildest, most visionary game worlds — but if the engine can’t run it, those dreams simply stay on paper. Vision isn’t enough; performance is the canvas. While creating and developing our first VR game at Ubisoft, "Eagle Flight", we had to first explore what was possible and how to balance creative ideas and technical solutions. The battle between the two can be as frustrating as it can be helpful to shape your ideas."

From my first steps in FX to contributing to a film that won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, it’s been a wild 12-year ride. Join me as I trace my path through three countries, ten companies, and 31 productions, an adventure that ultimately led to working on Blade Runner 2049 with the team at DNEG and discover what really goes into creating Oscar-winning movie magic. I’ll also share insights from my current role as an FX Lead at Skydance Animation Madrid, where I collaborate with an incredible team to craft new worlds and push the boundaries of visual storytelling.

Es conocido por Borderlands (2024), Thor: Ragnarok (2017) y [REC]³ El comienzo (2012), entre otras grandes producciones.

Rafael Catalán Madurga - Compositing Senior Artist en Skydance

Con una sólida trayectoria en la industria de la animación como del cine y TV y también de la formación audiovisual. Participando en proyectos tanto nacionales como internacionales tanto en animación: Spellbound, Luck, Love Deaths and Robots, como en imagen real: Handia, Mientras dure la guerra, Verónica, El Ministerio del Tiempo, etc.
