About this event

Discover the nighttime essence of La Tacita de Plata with our Cadiz by Night Free Tour, where our local guides will take you through the city’s most iconic spots under the light of the moon. Immerse yourself in the history and charm of one of Europe’s oldest cities as you explore its illuminated landmarks.

Our journey begins at Plaza de San Juan de Dios, one of the main hubs of Cadiz. Here, we'll learn about the city's origins and its connection to maritime trade, right next to the imposing City Hall, making it the perfect starting point for our nighttime tour.

We’ll then walk to the Arco de la Rosa, one of the medieval gateways into Cadiz’s old town, which still leads us today into the Cathedral Square. From there, we’ll admire how the Cadiz Cathedral becomes even more majestic after sunset, and uncover the story of another historic temple nearby: the Church of Santiago.

As dinnertime approaches, there’s no better plan than learning about Cadiz’s most iconic dishes while making our way to one of the best spots for tapas in the city — the Central Market (Mercado de Abastos). Next to what is considered the oldest covered market in Spain, we’ll explore the importance of local favorites like pescaíto frito, churros, and chicharrones in Cadiz’s culinary tradition.

Cadiz is famous for its watchtowers, so next we’ll head to Tavira Tower, one of the tallest points in the historic center and a former lookout used to monitor maritime activity. Nearby, we’ll visit the historic Oratory of San Felipe Neri, the very place where the first Spanish Constitution, La Pepa, was drafted in 1812.

Our tour also connects with Plaza de San Antonio, tied to the Constitution and surrounded by elegant buildings like the Casino Gaditano, Casa Aramburu, San Antonio Church, and Café Apolo. In the nearby Plaza de Mina, we’ll find a charming corner filled with gardens and cultural landmarks such as the Museum of Cadiz and the house where the renowned composer Manuel de Falla was born.

We’ll end our nighttime stroll at the stunning Alameda Apodaca, a beautiful promenade where we’ll see one of Cadiz’s majestic century-old ficus trees, now a symbol of the city. Beneath its thick branches and with the sea breeze around us, we’ll conclude our walk taking in the sea views and feeling the magic of a Cadiz evening.

Book your spot now and enjoy an unforgettable experience in La Tacita de Plata!
