This hybrid (in person and online) Citython edition will be held in the city of Košice, Slovakia, and is focused on urban mobility, in the context of urban data, smart cities, urban planning and crisis management. The goal of this Citython is for young professionals to search for innovative and creative solutions that can be applied in the city of Košice to foster innovation.

This hackathon will provide an opportunity for brilliant young talents to create their solutions with the help of mentors and experts, who will be available throughout the event, while also experiencing the unforgettable thrill of coming together with peers who share the same passion for digital technology and innovation.

💻 Challenges:

The challenges teams will tackle in the Citython 2022 Košice are:

Challenge 1 - Urban Data: Applications that transfer mobility data into useful and valuable information in a user-friendly way and have a real commercial potential, for purposes of improving overall quality of life in the city.

Challenge 2 - Smart Mobility & Urban Planning: Development of smart mobility solutions that are environmentally sustainable, convenient, and attractive to citizens; such as citywide travel systems that provide smart guidance for travellers, based on real-time information.

Challenge 3 - Crisis Management Through Urban Mobility: Creating smart mobility solutions in the context of extreme weather and humanitarian emergencies, pandemic and traffic incidents.

🏆 Awards:

The Citython will give a total amount of €9000 in prizes. The winning team of each challenge (three winning teams in total) will receive a financial award of €3000. They will also receive an E-move scooter, a bike sharing voucher and various GARMIN gifts.

All participants attending the event in person will also receive merchandising items.

👩🏻🧑🏻‍💻Teams:

The hackathon is open to both teams (of three to five people) and individuals of legal adult age from any country of origin. The event organisers will help participants who sign up individually to team up with other participants in a group. The procedure welcomes all applications and shall not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, or marital status.
