CodeWomen event: Coding with Coaches, hosted by New Work
Date and time
On Monday May 23, join us for a coding session organized by MigraCode’s CodeWomen community and hosted by New Work!
About this event
CodeWomen is a community for women, by women. We meet twice a month in different locations, to help and get to know each other on coding stuff, as well as career advice and tips from other women developers.
During the in-person Coding with Coaches session, you can ask for help from our coaches on any programming topic, work on the repository of exercises we have prepared for different levels, get guidance for your own coding project or the homework from your bootcamp.
**⏰ Programme (starts at 19.00 hrs) 🤓**
• Short intro about CodeWomen and New Work
• Round of introductions to get to know each other
• Peer coding and lots of fun!
You'll get to meet amazing women who are learning how to code, and others who already work as developers and can coach you. Learn from each other, no matter what level you're at!
**👩🏾💻 Who can participate? 👩💻**
This meeting is for women+ (inclusive of trans and non-binary) from all backgrounds who are learning to code. You are a bootcamp student or learning by yourself, a graduate looking to apply for a job in tech or already a professional developer. We use English during the meetings but most of our coaches speak Spanish, too.

**👩🏾💻 👩🏼🎓 About CodeWomen 👩💻 👩🏽**
CodeWomen is a community in Barcelona for women, by women. Our goal is to support and empower women who want to make a career change into tech. We meet twice a month in different locations, to network, work on coding projects, help each other, and get career advice and tips from other women developers. CodeWomen is a volunteer-led project and was born in July 2020 within MigraCode, a tech academy for refugees and migrants in Barcelona. It is led by Henriette Hettinga, who herself made a career change by starting to programme a few years ago. Read more about CodeWomen on our webpage. Contact: henriette@migracode.org.
