Unruly, unclassifiable, and relentlessly physical, YOUNG BOY DANCING GROUP occupies a singular position at the intersection of dance and performance art. Since 2014, the ever-shifting collective has built a global cult following through raw, chaotic, and confrontational performances, blurring the lines between choreography and collapse, ritual and rave, vulnerability and excess. For the exhibition It Was All Fields Once, they bring this energy into unexpected territory: developing a new performance that draws on rural rituals, communal harvesting, and food practices. The piece approaches the food as a site of friction, where care, labor, and collective intensity come to the fore.
