The APEC-Canada Growing Business Partnership, at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is hosting the workshop “Change Makers: Supporting Social Entrepreneurs in Peru" bringing together researchers, policy-makers, and social entrepreneurs to discuss existing support for entrepreneurs and MSMEs as well as how it can be improved. At the workshop, the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada will present the preliminary results of our 'Survey of Entrepreneurs and MSMEs in Peru’ and discuss research on social entrepreneurship in Peru through presentations by Canadian and international researchers. Our local partners for the event include the Peru Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Production, and the Ministry of Social Inclusion.
The main languages during the workshop will be in English / Spanish.
The APEC-Canada Growing Business Partnership is a four-year, C$4.74 million joint Global Affairs Canada (GAC) – Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) initiative that aims to foster economic growth and reduce poverty in APEC emerging economies. The Partnership takes place over four years, beginning September 2016 and ending April 2020. The Partnership offers best practices, tools, ideas, knowledge and critical connections derived from Canadian experience, tailored to the local markets of APEC countries. The countries currently identified as economies of focus are: Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, and Peru.

La APEC-Canada Growing Business Partnership, en la Fundación Asia-Pacífico de Canadá, organiza el taller "Agentes de Cambio: Apoyando a Empresas Sociales en el Perú", que reúne a investigadores, responsables políticos y emprendedores sociales para hablar sobre el apoyo existente para emprendedores y MYPES para crear mejoría en ellas. En el taller, la Fundación Asia-Pacífico de Canadá presentará los resultados preliminares de nuestra “Encuesta de emprendedores y MYPES en Perú” y discutirá la investigación sobre emprendimiento social en Perú a través de presentaciones de investigadores canadienses e internacionales. Los socios locales para el evento incluyen al Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Perú, el Ministerio de la Producción y el Ministerio de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social.

Los principales idiomas durante el taller serán en inglés / español.
