RMIT Europe and The University Hospital of Vall d'Hebron jointly invite key partners to explore the challenges and opportunities across key urban health initiatives. In preparing to respond to the upcoming European Commission Horizon 2020, 2018-2020 Work Programmes we will be discussing the technological challenges for cities in developing initiatives promoting health, wellbeing and design. Both the growth of cities and the demand on public health services require a considered approach as part of how the public sector, industry, academia and third sector address the challenges of urbanisation and its impact on wellbeing.

These issues and upcoming funding sources will be discussed at this must-attend event for public sector workers, industry, and researchers on 5 October 2017. The objective is to progress from discussion to project ideas on:

  • The role of design and infrastructure in developing healthy communities and cities
  • Standards and evaluation criteria to promote health in cities
  • Use of technology to support urban health and associated services

As the forum is a working event, attendance is limited to 70 participants. Please register as soon as possible.

Vall d'Hebron University Hospital and RMIT Europe look forward to welcoming you to the heart of innovative Barcelona.

Languages:

The operational language will be English with questions in English or Spanish. The parallel working group sessions will be in Spanish.
