EU COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE MEETING 2020 LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE OF EU MEDIATION: WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
About this event
Register for the virtual Open Space, propose a session, and shape the future of EU mediation.
Build the new EU mediation concept
This is an important year for EU Mediation. The EEAS is developing a new Concept for EU Mediation and a set of EEAS mediation guidelines that will guide our work into the next decade. The Open Space aims to cultivate a joint understanding and mutual enrichment on EU mediation and mediation support, building on the outcomes from last year’s meeting.
Shape the meetings
Bring forth the issues that are important to you. We welcome novel, innovative proposals to enhance the EU approach to mediation. Local community mediation and peace processes, youth, environmental and digital spheres, masculinities and femininities in mediation, new facilitation methods, different issue in conflict settings, trauma, transhumance, specific EU mediation experiences or how the EU could improve Multitrack Processes… Shape the meetings with your proposals.
You can propose a session in advance when you apply by 10 June. You can also propose a one at the Open Space plenary session. Our team will provide you with a meeting slot.
Move freely between sessions
All session are open to all registered participants and convened by the organisers. They are “owned” by the people who propose them, while we will assist with all the necessary tool to help you have a productive discussion. Is the discussion not cutting it for you? Follow the law of two feet and move freely to another session .
Join from wherever you are
We are adapting to current travel limitations and hope to welcome you in a safe, comfortable online space. The Mediation Support Team is convening this year’s Community of Practice meeting virtually, and all you need to join is a stable internet connection. All you have to do is apply for a spot.
Please prioritise connecting from a laptop or desktop (PC or Mac) instead of a smartphone or tablet to enjoy the full experience.
A visual report online
The content of all discussions will be mapped online so that the dialogue thinking and cooperation and actions continue and can be consulted by everyone.
