Description

Terres Rouges is a region of Luxembourg located in the south of the country. It owes its name to the bright red of the ore which was at the origin of the success of the steel industry in Luxembourg during the industrial era. Today, the former mining area of Terres Rouges has found a new identity by combining ancient history and new technologies. Geologically, the Terres Rouges are sedimentary; Most of these are sandstones and conglomerates, formed during the Middle Jurassic period.

Recommendations and practical advice

For this walk, hiking clothing and shoes adapted to the season are required. Take water and an individual snack consisting of sandwiches, fruit or energy bars, among others.
