What to Expect at a Typical Meeting:
Our meetings are structured, energetic, and designed for learning and fun. When you join us as a guest, you can expect:
- A Warm Welcome: From the moment you arrive, our members will make you feel right at home. We're a diverse and friendly group from all walks of life, dedicated to helping each other succeed.
- Prepared Speeches: Listen to 1 to 3 of our members deliver prepared speeches from the Toastmasters educational program, Pathways. You'll see people at different stages of their journey, from their very first "Ice Breaker" speech to more advanced presentations.
- Impromptu Speaking (Table Topics™): This is a fun and exciting part of the meeting! Volunteers are randomly given a topic and have 1-2 minutes to speak "off the cuff." It's a fantastic way to practice thinking on your feet. As a guest, you can participate if you feel adventurous, or you can just sit back and enjoy the creative answers!
- Constructive Evaluations: This is the heart of the Toastmasters method. Every speaker receives valuable, constructive feedback from a fellow member, highlighting their strengths and offering helpful suggestions for improvement. It's about building people up, not tearing them down.
- Networking: Meet like-minded individuals who are all focused on personal and professional growth.
