About this event
This 40-minute Masterclass focuses on the pressing imperative for -/ and of the massive potential of -- small-scale social enterprises aimed at reducing the significant lingering GHG emissions gap facing each successive COP summit, and/or making up for valuable time lost in fulfilling most of the UN’s ‘sustainable development goals.’ We will describe and analyze the increasingly important role of the smallest-scale variety of social enterprises – what we call ‘SDG start-ups’ (sometimes referred to as ‘inclusive businesses’) – in the generation of societal benefits. A number of particular examples of such start-ups will be presented, along with key features of the supporting ecosystem, including relevant market and governance issues (e.g., voluntary carbon markets and impact measurement and management, or IMM).
Agenda: 19.30: Welcome 20.00: Masterclass SDG Start-ups by Paul Adam Isbell 21.00: Networking drinks with IE Alumni
