Presentation of the Centro de Excelencia Mundial del Merino
Overview
IE School of Architecture & Design and the Bachelor in Fashion Design are proud to announce their partnership with OTEYZA in a pioneering project that revives one of Spain’s most iconic cultural treasures: Spanish merino wool.
After a decade of research and collaboration, this initiative has restored the excellence of Spanish merino—renowned for its exceptional fiber length, fineness, and unique eight curls per centimeter (R8)—positioning it as a global benchmark in luxury and high craftsmanship.
Join us for the official presentation of this milestone and the launch of the World Center of Excellence for Merino (CEMM), an international hub dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and cultural preservation in fashion and the decorative arts.
This event is a unique opportunity to explore how tradition and cutting-edge design converge to shape the future of fashion and luxury.
