Ester de Nicolas is a Senior Director of Product Management at Microsoft Quantum, where she leads efforts to drive ecosystem growth and accelerate the development and adoption of quantum technologies. In this role, she shapes product strategy and partnerships to build a thriving quantum ecosystem that bridges scientific innovation with real-world impact.

Previously, Ester served as Senior Director of Growth, Strategy, and Innovation within Microsoft’s Strategic Missions and Technologies division, where she led teams incubating new business strategies in Quantum Computing and AI for Scientific Discovery. With a master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering specializing in microelectronics and robotics, she began her career as a research engineer developing simulation environments for medical professionals.

Over the past 20 years, Ester has been at the forefront of emerging technology paradigms—including High-Performance Computing, Open-Source Software, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Quantum Information Sciences—through leadership roles at HP and Microsoft.
