Professor Alexander Van de Putte is an accomplished academic and board leader with significant influence in corporate governance, strategy, and strategic foresight. He is the Executive Chairman of the Sustainable Foresight Institute and of Corporate Governance 4.0. Additionally, he is a Visiting Professor of Strategy and Strategic Foresight at IE Business School. Throughout his career, Alexander has held senior roles with prestigious organizations, including the US National Intelligence Council, the World Economic Forum, Shell International, PwC, and McKinsey & Company.Alexander is trained as an economist and engineer, holds a PhD in Management from the University of London, a Doctorate in International Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy, and a PhD in Engineering at Cambridge University.His career is marked by a blend of academic excellence and hands-on leadership in global strategy, portfolio management, and governance, making him a respected figure in both academic and corporate circles.
