About this event
Join us for a two-day workshop at UCL!
HARMONY, the state-of-the-art:
-> in regional spatial and transport planning
-> in modelling methods
-> in the techniques of integrating traditional and new mobility services
-> in the demonstration of HARMONY Model Suite (HARMONY MS)
LEARN FROM EXPERTS - 21 partners from 12 countries:
-> Write the code
-> Test the code
-> Create the interface
Who is the training for?
If you are a student-modeller or a consultant-modeller interested in low carbon mobility, then this training course is for you!
If you are directly involved in urban and transport planning in your city, specifically focusing on achieving the zero emission zone then this short demo is for you: Introduction to Model Suite¨, the first part on our agenda.

* What is #HARMONYH2020?
HARMONY is a project that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under grant agreement Nº815269. HARMONY is a project under the CIVITAS Initiative, an EU-funded programme working to make sustainable and smart mobility a reality for all.
* Who are HARMONY experts?
HHARMONY H2020 project is run by a consortium of 21 partners from 12 countries, coordinated by UCL - University College London.
* Why do we need HARMONY?
Harmony’s vision is to enable metropolitan area authorities to lead a sustainable transition to a low-carbon new mobility era. Our spatial and multimodal transport planning tools will update the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans of the future.
* What is HARMONY Model Suite?
HARMONY Model Suite or HARMONY MS is a platform bringing together transport and spatial planning tools, people and freight activity-based models, network models and land-use models. By providing evidence-based spatial and transport planning, HARMONY MS seeks to contribute to the realization of sustainable metropolitan and urban development.
* Why use HARMONY MS?
HARMONY Model Suite harmonises spatial and multimodal transport planning models allowing HARMONY MS users to comprehensively model the dynamicity of the changing transport sector and spatial organisation in urban and regional areas.
* Environmental impact:
We are committed to advancing sustainable mobility towards a safer and healthier life in our cities and regions. During its lifetime, HARMONY aims to:
- REDUCE CONGESTION by 15%
- REDUCE NOISE LEVEL by 10%
- INCREASE TRIPS WITH LOWER EMISSIONS by 10%
- INCREASE INTERMODALITY by 10%
