Mature and immature technologies such as AI, IoT, 5G, Digital Twins, Blockchain, Drones and Virtual and Augmented Reality, have enabled cities to rethink the way they manage urban challenges such as Tourism and Mobility from enhancing cities’ responsiveness, optimizing energy efficiency to improving access to public and banking (fintech) services. With proper purpose-driven businesses, these technologies can make cities more sustainable, and provide the opportunity for leapfrogging the global progress towards the New Urban Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
