WORKSHOP Spinning Poetry

In Spinning Poetry, participants are invited into Nadine Gerspacher’s unique world of contemporary dance – a space where movement, emotion, and imagination intertwine. The workshop explores the poetry of the everyday body through physical tasks, theatrical scenarios, and partner work that awaken playfulness, trust, and authentic expression.

Focusing on body awareness, participants dive into exercises on breath, articulation, muscle tone, and grounding to expand their physical vocabulary. Technical sequences, floor work, and guided improvisations challenge dancers to move from instinct, discovering freedom through precision.

Nadine’s teaching combines strength and detail, pushing boundaries while nurturing individuality. Her classes are infused with humor, intensity, and cinematic flow – each phrase a journey through texture and transformation.

Through Spinning Poetry, dancers are encouraged to connect deeply with themselves and others, transforming physical experience into emotional resonance. The workshop becomes a living dialogue between movement and meaning – a place where the absurd meets the beautiful, and the body becomes a storyteller.

A bit more about Nadine Gerspacher :

Nadine Gerspacher is an acclaimed dancer, choreographer, and artistic director of Cia Nadine Gerspacher, with over 20 years of international experience. She has worked with prominent dance companies, including Dave St. Pierre in Montreal and Cirque du Soleil in 2015. Nadine won the Isadora Prize for her achievements in contemporary dance and presented a trilogy from 2019 to 2021. Her 2022 duet RE. with Arias Fernandez blends Krump and Contemporary dance. Nadine was awarded guest performance funding from Tanzland/Inthega for 2023-2026. She co-founded Freezone in Barcelona and NEXO in Freiburg. In 2024, she will collaborate on St.earnest with Vlad Ion, and in 2025, debut BirdsLAND with Jonathan Sanchez.

WORKSHOP Spinning Poetry

A Spinning Poetry, els participants són convidats a endinsar-se en l’univers únic de dansa contemporània de Nadine Gerspacher — un espai on moviment, emoció i imaginació s’entrellacen. El taller explora la poesia del cos quotidià a través de tasques físiques, situacions teatrals i treball en parella que desperten el joc, la confiança i l’expressió autèntica.

Centrant-se en la consciència corporal, els participants aprofundeixen en exercicis de respiració, articulació, to muscular i arrelament per expandir el seu vocabulari físic. Seqüències tècniques, treball a terra i improvisacions guiades desafien els ballarins a moure’s des de l’instint, descobrint la llibertat a través de la precisió.

L’ensenyament de la Nadine combina força i detall, empenyent límits mentre cuida la individualitat. Les seves classes estan impregnades d’humor, intensitat i un flux gairebé cinematogràfic — cada frase és un viatge a través de la textura i la transformació.

Amb Spinning Poetry, els ballarins són animats a connectar profundament amb ells mateixos i amb els altres, transformant l’experiència física en ressonància emocional. El taller es converteix en un diàleg viu entre moviment i significat — un lloc on l’absurd es troba amb la bellesa i el cos esdevé narrador.

Nadine Gerspacher és una reconeguda ballarina, coreògrafa i directora artística de Cia Nadine Gerspacher, amb més de 20 anys d’experiència internacional. Ha treballat amb destacades companyies de dansa, com Dave St. Pierre a Mont-real i Cirque du Soleil el 2015. Nadine va guanyar el Premi Isadora pels seus èxits en dansa contemporània i va presentar una trilogia entre 2019 i 2021. El seu duet del 2022, RE. amb Arias Fernandez, combina Krump i dansa contemporània. Nadine va rebre un finançament per a actuacions com a artista convidada de Tanzland/Inthega per al període 2023-2026. És cofundadora de Freezone a Barcelona i de NEXO a Friburg. El 2024 col·laborarà en St.earnest amb Vlad Ion, i el 2025 presentarà BirdsLAND amb Jonathan Sanchez.
