About this event
On saturday the 10th of December Nicola Monaco will share his amazing practice with in FREEZONE. From 10hr to 14hr we will dance, train, play and work together!
A bit more about Nicola Monaco:
Nicola Monaco trained in Italy where he attended the professional course of Aterballetto under the direction of Mauro Bigonzetti. In 2003 he worked for the award-winning Dutch dance company Emio Greco/PC, where he stayed until 2008. In 2009, he worked with choreographers such as Akram Khan, Gregory Maquoma, Tom Dale, The Featherstonehaughs and Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company. In 2012 he was appointed as rehearsal director for Zfin Malta Dance Ensemble.
In 2013, Nicola joined Akram Khan Dance company as dancer and rehearsal director for productions Itmoi, Kaash and Xenos. In 2017, Nicola received the official qualification to teach the Double Skin/Double Mind methodology of ICK/Amsterdam (Emio Greco/PC). In 2019 he was appointed as assistant choreographer for the production Chotto Xenos directed by Sue Buckmaster. He also restaged AKC repertory at Stuttgart Ballet, Stanislavsky Theatre, Introdans, IT DANSA.

Un poco más sobre Nico Monaco:
Nicola Monaco empieza su entrenamiento de danza en Italia. Despues cursó la formación profesional en Aterballetto dirigida por Mauro Bigonzetti, en 2003 trabajó para la compañía Holandesa Emio Greco/PC hasta el 2008.
En 2009, colabora con Akram Khan, Gregory Maquoma, Tom Dale, The Featherstonehaughs y Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company. En 2012 trabaja como director de ensayos en la compañía nacional de Malta Zfin Malta Dance Ensemble. En 2013 entra como bailarin y director de ensayos en Akram Khan Dance Company para las producciones Itmoi, Kaash y Xenos. En 2017 recibe su diploma para enseñar la metodologia Double Skin/Double Mind de la compañía ICK Amsterdam (Emio GREco/PC). En 2019 trabaja como asistente coreográfico para la creación de Chotto Xenos dirigida por Sue Buckmaster. Tambien ha tenido la oportunidad de remontar el repertorio de Akram Khan en STuttgart Ballet, Stanislavsky Theatre, Introdans y IT DANZA y de enseñar workshops a nivel internacional.
