Cat

I'm Cat and I first started adult dyslexia group in 2018 but had to put it on hold during the pandemic because my full time job left me with little free time to commit to running ADG and my main reason for starting this wee venture again is because I am severely dyslexic and I discovered to my disappointment in 2018 that there is absolutely no support at all for adults who are dyslexic and I'm restarting because I missed running ADG and also it is something that is still needed not just in Aberdeen but throughout Scotland.

I host social drop in sessions in the Aberdeen city area, for a small fee (consesion rates are available for low income - ZHC, benefits etc) these will always be announced here and on Dreamwidth, BlueSky and WhatsApp. I also plan to sell specialist stationery at drop in sessions and events, these are notebooks with coloured paper, coloured overlays for reading and reading rulers at reasonable prices because I find the prices for these items in stores and online to be prohibitively expensive and I want to remove the cost as much as possible as it is a barrier.

I am planning a relaunch event for early May at a location in Aberdeen city centre to be confirmed within the next couple of weeks.
