AIA Western Northern Carolina
AIA Western North Carolina is a regional chapter of the American Institute of Architects,
serving architects, emerging professionals, and allied design disciplines across the
diverse and dynamic landscapes of Western North Carolina. We are a collaborative
network of designers committed to shaping a built environment that is safe, sustainable,
inclusive, and reflective of the people and places we serve.
We believe that architecture is not created in isolation—it’s built through relationships.
That’s why we work hand-in-hand with engineers, contractors, interior designers,
community leaders, and government officials to ensure that the spaces we design
are not only innovative and functional, but also grounded in equity, safety, and local
identity.
In response to regional challenges such as Hurricane Helene, AIA WNC has helped
create sustainable resources and lasting connections—not just for our members,
but for the communities they serve. Our commitment extends beyond the profession to
support the people and places that make up Western North Carolina.
