Ali McKernan (aka The FUNgi Guy)
Ali has been fascinated by fungi for many years now, and has an addictive enthusiasm when sharing his knowledge for all things fungal. He is on the outreach committees for both the British Mycological and North West Fungus societies and is an ambassador for fungi for TheWildlifeTrusts on Instagram, where he regularly posts whimsical fungi related snippets as @the.fungi.guy. He also likes to make fun if somewhat daft 'Beginner's Guides to Fungi' on Youtube as the FUNgi guy. He makes learning accessible, fun and with many years experience of teaching, a guided walk is always a memorable one.
