What to expect:
After the initial assessment day, each member will be placed into a group and will be expected to either meet up or, if not able to meet, complete on their own the set weekly distance. Each week all the groups will meet on a Sunday to complete the weekly "push" hike. This hike will set the new increased distance for the following week. At the end of the 3-month programme, there will be a final challenge which will push each member further than they have been before and get them ready for the next group or to join ECB See less

A 12-week course designed for those who have been out of the exercise game for a while but are looking to get back out hiking step by step
Expedition Costa Blanca - Get Hiking Fit, is a fitness programme designed to get everyone of any fitness level back up and hiking. Unlike other fitness programmes that leave you on your own after the course is done, our programme will never leave you. Once you have completed the programme, you will have the tools to continue with your group, enjoying hiking at your own pace.
Our program will be made of 3 groups that suit all levels of ability.
At our introduction day, we will assess which group will be best suited to, but as a general rule this will be based on these distances and the ease in which you can complete them. The groups will basically be formed around the following distances:
Group 1 - 2km
Group 2 - 4km
Group 3 - 6km
By the end of the 3-month course, you'll have at least doubled your ability and be able to move up to the next group. After Group 3, you can join our main hiking group - Expedition Costa Blanca - for more challenging hikes.
The plan is ’pasito a pasito’ - one step at a time. This way you'll make small, manageable and permanent changes to your fitness. We also hope to make it enjoyable as a big part of your group will be the social part as it will always end in a cafe/ restaurant and this a tradition that we plan to keep part of this programme.
