About the speaker:
Rafif Srour is an academic with recognized experience in teaching, analytical and empirical research, and data analysis. She thrives in international and multicultural environments and describes herself as a lifelong learner, both academically and personally. Rafif is a strong advocate for women in STEM, breaking stereotypes one at a time, and a multiple-time recipient of the Best Professor award. She actively uses coaching and mentoring to support students' academic performance and overall experience.
She is currently the Executive Vice Dean of the School of Science and Technology at IE University, where she has also served as interim Dean and Academic Director of the Bachelor in Data and Business Analytics. In 2021, she was recognized among the top 183 Leading Data Academics by CDO Magazine, and named one of 55 leading women in Spain’s tech sector under the “Yo, Jefa” initiative.
Rafif holds a BE in Agricultural Engineering, a master’s in Soil Science, and a PhD in Environmental Soil Chemistry. Her work focuses on leveraging technology as a disruptive force in higher education and driving innovation through AI-integrated learning.
