Melissa Hampson-Smith is an Environmental Artist with an interest in Materials, Time Travel & Outer Space.She makes art jewellery, sculptures & paintings inspired by future colonisation of other planets.Some pieces contain found things, others seeds to plant on arrival to a new planet or for re-wilding parts of planet Earth.She is a member of Precious Collective & an Associate Member of Penwith Galleries St Ives. Her art-jewellery is stocked by Ruup & Form London. And her work can be found in the Crafts Council online catalogue.Recently one of her drawings was chosen for the first #aspshows as part of #artistsupportpledge at Hastings Contemporary and her paintings were previously chosen for exhibition at Fronteer Gallery SheffieldMelissa completed two Artist residencies with Mayes Creative in 2021
