I have been a performer, writer, and puppeteer for 30 years. I moved to the UK in 1989 from Georgia, USA, and have been here ever since. When I learned that Benjamin Franklin spent time in Edinburgh, at the height of the Enlightenment, and spent time with many of the great luminaries, I became very intrigued. What a chrysalis moment in history that must have been. This walking tour is derived from my research for the show, An American Love Letter to Edinburgh, which premiered at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh Fringe 2024, and will return for Fringe 2025.
