I host writing workshops and retreats geared at helping people build the skills and courage to tell their stories. I'm a creative late bloomer whose memoir Red Star Tattoo My life as a girl revolutionary won the Edna Staebler Award for creative non-fiction and made CBC and National Post's Best of 2016 lists. My fiction and non-fiction has been in literary publications in the US, the UK and Canada.
