I am a seamstress. I specialize in bridal, prom and special occasion alterations. I've had my own shop in Beecher, IL 60401 for 14 years. However, exceptions have been made to include a wide variety of projects. I do this for a living but beyond that, I do it for the love of the alchemy of sewing. From a broken, ill-fitting thing, to a perfect gown that never fails to create sparkle in the wearer's eyes, a lightness of stance and when things go really well - a twirl to see the dress fly from every angle. But from a simple pants hem, to a Halloween costume literally lighting up with hidden LED lights, to repairing a beloved and bedraggled ancient stuffed bear to a bride in all her glory, there is just so much pure joy to this craft.

I want everyone to sew. It not only repairs and creates clothing and many other fabric items, it builds confidence and joy.
