BIOAQUA is a COST Action funded by the European Commission as a collaboration network amongst researchers in biomolecular solutions and fish welfare, and stakeholders related to aquaculture. Altogether, we aim to transform the future of aquaculture driving a paradigm shift in disease management steaming from research and technology development efforts that provide the industry with pioneering solutions. We are organising for the first time this event, which will happen annualy from now own. The purpose is to share knowledge and perspectives for improving research and accelerating uptake of results. During this 2-day event we will:

DURING DAY 1:
1. (Morning) Oral presentations by speakers and visit to INTAEX laboratories.

(Afternoon) Work together in co-designing, exploring and testing project ideas in selected thematic areas through multi-disciplinary/multistakeholder discussions and activities. The participation of specific experts, multiple stakeholders from different geographic outreach and end-users is expected.

DURING DAY 2:

1. (Morning) Oral presentations by speakers and visit to the experimental fish farm Villafranco del Guadiana, owned by the regional government of Extremadura.

(Afternoon) Start co-authoring of a book from the contents in the presentations and discussions happened during the event.

Networking activities will also be organised along the workshop. A full agenda will be released early March; in the meantime, please book the days!
