As founder of Circularity First, with hubs in California, Aalborg, and the UK, he has built a purpose-driven enterprise focused on extending the lifecycle of IT equipment. Through innovative circular economy solutions, his organisation has already prevented nearly one million kilograms of hardware from becoming e-waste—one of the fastest-growing environmental challenges globally. Earlier this year, his leadership was recognised with techUK’s prestigious Planet Award, highlighting his role in advancing sustainable entrepreneurship and more responsible IT systems.

<h3>About the Professor</h3>
<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/concepciongaldon/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Concepción Galdon PhD.</a> is Vice-Dean of Business with Purpose at IE Business School. She holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, a Master in Public Administration and International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a PhD in International Economy and Development from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where she received the Outstanding Award for her doctoral dissertation.
Her research focuses on the role of technology in driving impact within social entrepreneurship. She has worked with NGOs, the UN Procurement Division, Santander Bank’s Latin America Division, and the government of Liberia under President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
