Nancy Bishop is an American Emmy –award-nominated casting director who has cast over one hundred International projects. Based in London, and Prague, she has cast for major feature films including and Mission Impossible IV, Bong Joon Ho’s Snowpiercer, Prince Caspian, Bourne Identity, and the soon to be released independent film, Medieval, starring Michael Caine and Ben Foster. TV credits include Knightfall for A&E, and Matthew Weiner’s The Romanoffs. She has been teaching film acting masterclasses internationally for many years. In addition, Nancy founded the Acting for Film Department at the Prague Film School. She is the founder and former head of the Casting Society of America’s European Branch and has penned two books about the Audition Technique.

13:00- 15:00 Feedback on Self Taped Auditions:

Self-taped auditions are increasingly popular in the industry and actors are expected to hold the skills to effectively present themselves. Actors will bring a pre-assigned self-taped audition for feedback from Nancy

15:00-16:30: INTERNATIONAL MARKETING SEMINAR

Seminar for actors will focus on strategies for actors to adequately promote themselves and secure work in the international market. Topics will include how to make the best use of the internet for marketing, organize a professional CV, choose a winning headshot, produce an effective showreel, record auditions to send to production, and purposefully use social media.

Day Two 10:00 – 16:30 AUDITIONS

10:00 – 12:00: Actors will perform scenes assigned on Saturday with coaching from Nancy.

12:00- 13:00: Lunch

13:00- 14:30: Critique of taped scenes

14:30 15:30 Archetypes workshop. Actors will bring a printed copy of their headshot for feedback.

15:30- 16:00: Q&A with Nancy Bishop

The workshop is designed for actors, acting & film students, casting directors and anyone interested in the entering the film Business on the area of acting. (Actors will not do scenes with other actors or participants but rather perform “Self-tape” style directly with Nancy)
