Learners with special educational needs (SEN) often face difficulties, barriers and discrimination in their education, giving rise to many negative feelings and limiting beliefs. In many cases, schools and teachers don’t adequately understand neurodiversity and SEN and therefore find it hard to identify and support the range of needs that exist in classrooms.

In this interactive, online session, we aim to raise awareness around how we can make learning experiences more inclusive through a better understanding of SEN and the importance of supporting SEN students. The session is aimed at teachers, learning designers and anyone interested in a more inclusive approach to education.

We will draw on and share resources from an EU-funded project that LearnJam has been involved in over the last two years, working with partners around the EU to create a 'SEN Toolkit' of resources to help teachers better understand and support SEN students.
