How does it work?

When arriving at the event, each attendee receives a sticker with their name, native and target languages; with this, you can start exchanging languages, and it's as simple as speaking for a while in a language and for a while in the other one, so that all attendees can practice.

What's the level of the attendees?

Participants have different levels, from beginner to advanced, but that should not worry you, especially if you want to practice with native speakers, since they will always have the highest level ;)

Can I go alone?

Accepted Answer

Most people come alone, so do not worry about that. In addition, all attendees come to meet people and talk, so it is very easy to start a conversation.

What are the ages of the attendees?

The language exchange is open to everyone. There are participants of all ages, from university students to people around their 60s, but the vast majority are in their 30s-40s.

What languages are practiced?

Accepted Answer

The event is open to everyone and to all languages. Since there are always native attendees of many languages, all languages from which there're native speakers can be practiced. The most practiced ones are Spanish, English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan, Russian, Chinese, Japanese...

Can I be late?

Accepted Answer

The language exchange lasts 3 hours thus every person can arrive and leave whenever they want, so no worries if you are late.

Question 7

Do we have to pay?

Accepted Answer

The language exchange is a free event, but all attendees are asked to take at least one drink, since the bar lend us their space. For this reason, in some bars the first drink must be paid upon arrival (€ 4).
