— CURIOUS ABOUT WHAT WE DO? WANT TO JOIN OUR MEETUP? Make sure to sign up!

👋🏻 Hi everyone,

How are you all doing?

Wanna join a transdisciplinary community of folks who think outside of the box and want to get their hands dirty to shift to a post-capitalist society?

Among us, you'll find fashion designers, architects, psychologists, designers, artists, filmmakers, creatives from the advertisting industry, urbanists, makers and creatives of all walks of life. We all have in common that we're over the green growth narratives and longing for serious talks about post-growth/ degrowth, and making it as much as possible a tangible, pragmatic reality!

Are you interested in alternative economic models, collective kitchens, sewing workshops, solidarity communities, or eco-villages applied to cities?

Do you have an idea and want to bounce it with others? Want to start a project? Need support on your next action? Are you need to activism and wonder what you can bring to the table?

Then this space is definitely for you!

We all meet at least once a month, with some spontaneous meetings in between depending on what we're working on.

This community celebrates creativity, thinking outside of the box, critical thinking and do-ocracy for a post-capitalist society based on solidarity, social justice, the Degrowth principles, the Doughnut Economics and overall: consuming less, rethinking our economic models for everyone to have access to a good life, within the planetary boundaries.

Everyone is encouraged and supported to express their own ideas, wishes, and hunger for a post-capitalist society and get support from our community to take actions and initiatives. Activism is hard, taking actions is hard, so let's make sure we are excellent with each other and the planet during this journey.

Together, we will talk about these topics:

  • What you are currently working on, any work in progress, special announcements
  • What you need help with
  • What would you like to help with
  • What you would like to learn more about

Looking forward to meeting in person!

Sophia

Make sure to update your RSVP if you can't make it, and if you're on the waiting list, come anyway! There are always last-minute dropouts.

Some resources you might want to check before coming:

Bring a gift with you to share with others, like:

  • a contact within a big charity organization?
  • an idea for a project?
  • a critical film you recommend?
  • a piece of world news that wasn't broadcasted enough?
  • a question that hasn't found an answer yet?
  • an upcoming event about climate corruption?
  • a podcast, a book, that hooked you?

Join us for a radically creative monthly gathering of action-driven individuals in Neulkölln, Berlin, Germany. This event is all about skipping the small talk and diving deep into degrowth, post-growth, post-capitalism, the doughnut economics, social justice, wealth redistribution, and democratically planned economy. We'll exchange ideas, and brainstorm radical action plans. Whether you're very curious like the most of us or an activist, economist, and even expert, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with individuals who share the same concern: maintaining our planet Earth livable. Get ready for an inspiring evening filled with engaging discussions and new connections. Don't miss out on this unique event!

This group is part of the Degrowth Movement, so everyone joining is open to learning more about Post-Capitalism/ Post-Growth/ Degrowth as a societal project or is already familiar with them. We understand that Degrowth doesn't have all the answers, and yet is the best alternative to date to our current economic model, based on social justice, wealth redistribution, a democratically planned sufficient economy, and within the planetary boundaries.

Our monthly meetup is a chance to meet new and familiar faces, have deep talks about our latest discoveries, interests and research on the topic of Post-Capitalism and Degrowth, and move the needle. First part of our meetup is about getting to know each other and the topic, in a fun and interactive way. Second part is about break-out groups and convos to work on hands-on real topics and projects.
