In this Campus Experts Summit session, we will learn from Jordan Thibodeau from Google's HR Mergers & Acquisition team, who will be leading a one hour talk on startup HR.

Jordan is an HR professional working on Google's Mergers and Acquisitions team where he partners with executive leadership and acquired founders to develop and implement HR strategies. His focus ranges from due diligence at the initiation of a deal all the way through company integration, ensuring a welcoming and smooth transition process, so he will try to show some tips & tricks for Startup Hiring.

The talk will go over:

-how to find the right people

-how to hire them

-how to grow them.

Also, he'll talk about what you need to stop doing in order for your organization to grow, and what to do when your organization breaks.

A great session specially for people from HR and People Ops departments, recruiters, startup CEOs...

Don't miss this opportunity!

IMPORTANT: The venue has limited space, so please come on time. Open entrance until filled to capacity.

About the speaker

Jordan has worked at Google for nearly 7 years. He’s an HR professional working on Google's Mergers and Acquisitions team where he partners with executive leadership and acquired founders to develop and implement HR strategies. His focus ranges from due diligence at the initiation of a deal all the way through company integration, ensuring a welcoming and smooth transition process. Also, he manages Google’s founders community where he interviews founders to share their experience on running startups and integrating into Google.

During his free time he’s a volunteer mentor at two startup incubators Founders Space and American Underground. He has independently mentored startups in the Philippines and Cuba. His expertise is helping founders improve their business models, helping them to brutally narrow down their priorities to a critical few, crystallize their hiring and growth plan, and sharpening their VC pitches for funding. He has advised startups and non profits such as Typeform, Students of Strength, and the Obama Foundation.

He’s originally from San Jose California. Sadly he has failed his spanish ancestors because his espanol es muy mal (His Grandmother always called him a “weak” mexican). In his free time he organizes a newsletter that no one reads, interviews authors at Google, and makes some of the world's best ice cream according to….his dad.

Feel free to introduce yourself to him before the event over Linkedin, email (jbt@google.com), or via smoke signals.

A great opportunity also for some of our rockstar Googlers to learn more about the startup ecosystem and the amazing entrepreneurs in Madrid.
