“Looks Can Kill” explores landscape, perception, and psychological space through the works of Thielker, Hernández Riquelme, and Eastman.

“Looks Can Kill” brings together the work of Gregory Thielker, Mar Hernández Riquelme, and Peter Eastman.

In this exhibition, Thielker presents landscapes shaped by instability and perception, where visibility becomes uncertain and the act of looking is constantly interrupted. Hernández explores domestic and urban spaces marked by absence, memory, and human intervention, focusing on what remains embedded within everyday environments. Eastman works through light and atmosphere, constructing landscapes as immediate sensory experiences in which perception continuously shifts between clarity and dissolution.

The exhibition moves away from the tradition of landscape as passive contemplation, approaching space instead as a field of tension, perception, and psychological presence. Rather than offering stable views, the works reveal environments that are fragile, unstable, and emotionally charged.
