Charlie Reader
Charlie Reader is a writer and filmmaker who splits his time across London and Barcelona. Having cut his teeth in music videos and branded content, he turned his hand to writing and narrative. His debut short, Everything You Didn't Say (2018) stars Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) and Christian Cooke (Cemetery Junction), co-written with Peter Fellows (Death Of Stalin, VEEP). Currently doing the festival circuit, it has been tipped as a hot new short by a Director to watch. Most recently, Charlie was nominated at the 2018 UKMVA’s as well as picking up a Fresh ’19 Carbon Award for his promo Find A Way, whilst Everything You Didn't Say won the Audience Award at the European Independent Film Festival in Paris this year.
In whichever form his work manifests, Charlie likes to experiment with narrative form and study the intricacies of the human condition. Whether through touching sincerity or comic cynicism, he aims to question, confront, and provoke. He is currently working on a number of exciting scripted projects, including his first feature.
Charlie is represented by COMPULSORY in the UK.
