Acerca de este evento

Discover the story of Jews in Barcelona through the most important chapters from the IX century to today. You’ll walk through the streets of Barcelona with two heritage experts and members of Jewish cultural platform, Mozaika, in an engaging 30 minute video with a live Q and A, showing us the secrets of this history and the city’s Jewish community in the present day and applying a critical eye to the narratives that have been build around it. Glimpse Barcelona’s Medieval Jewish community and discover the return of Jews to Sepharad, the Spanish Civil war and get insight into development of Barcelona’s modern Jewish communities.

The Jewish cultural platform Mozaika is a non-profit association, which has been working on the revitalization of Jewish culture and heritage in Barcelona for ten years. Three years ago, Mozaika founded the Casa Adret project, Barcelona’s first Jewish cultural center. Located in the middle of the old Call (Jewish quarter of Barcelona), Casa Adret is a hub where initiatives of all kinds related to Jewish culture and history are developed: conferences, literature festivals, concerts, research projects, interfaith-dialogue forums, tours and culinary experiences that allow you to discover the exciting history, past and present, of the Jewish community of Barcelona.

By purchasing a ticket to this event, you are supporting the revival and survival of Jewish cultural and heritage projects!

Organizador
