Effective Communication

Aims
• To demonstrate and improve 3 key effective communication skills (Active Listening, Verbal
communication and Non Verbal communication)
• Use communication skills to focus on Rapport Building for First contact situations
(Introductions, Sales and first contacts)
Objectives:
• Candidates conduct self assessment of communication skills to identify current levels
• Introduced to the key factors of Effective communication
• Introduced to 3 main communication skills
• Practice and consolidate skills
• Evaluation of performance for further development
Candidates will receive training on:
• Active Listening
• Verbal and non verbal communication
• Rapport building and sales
Workshop framework
Introduction:
• Aims and objectives
• Interpersonal skills self assessment
A. Introduction and Practice:
• Candidates practice and improve the 3 communication skills and rapport building
• In pairs/groups
• Here we coach and fine tune their skills to make them more effective
B. Conclusion and consolidation:
• Consolidation of Communication skills and Rapport building
• Final Challenge focusing on using the skills in rapport building (random situations)
• Evaluation of Performance
• Feedback for Self development
For a basic level:
• The same content - adapted for lower levels
• Same framework
• We focus on less criteria with lighter focus on rapport building
• More scaffolding with language
• Softer evaluation of performance
