Who is this workshop for?

Professional dedicated actors who have experience in theatre and/or in front of the camera who would like to deepen their process and add techniques to create interesting and human characters.  It can also be helpful to directors and writers who want to explore how actors really work.

What technique is practiced?

The facilitator draws from his experience with the process taught by Strasberg at the famous Actors Studio in New York and many others who absorbed the teachings of Stanislavski which later became known as The Method.

What is Method Acting?

Method Acting has been misrepresented for decades and there is not A Method , but there is Methodology in which an actor discovers what truly works for them by deepening their understanding of the Acting Process.  No two human beings are the same so that applies to actors as well.

How many participants?

Accepted Answer

The workshop is modelled after sessions of the Actors Studio in New York which encouraged participation through active observation.  Much is learned by observation so a class of 12 would be ideal but not a limit.

Question 5

Can I join just one session, or do I need to commit monthly?

You can sign up per session, or choose a monthly package at a discounted rate.

Question 6

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Comfortable clothing you can move in, a notebook if you like, and a curious open mind.  You can bring in a character you are working on, or a scene for an audition, or a monologue, or original monologues and/or scenes will be provided during the workshop.

Question 7

Will the sessions be filmed?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes Yes and sometimes no — some scene or individual work might be filmed for feedback.  Recordings are strictly for the workshop and can not be shared publicly without permission.

Question 8

What language is the workshop taught in?

English mostly, but participants who speak Spanish, Catalan or any other language have worked in our workshops without difficulty, because good acting is not connected to language.  If you want to work in French, then so be it.
