Why do 90% of GenAI products spike on launch day only to lose their users weeks later? Enterprise research shows that over 95% of GenAI initiatives fail to deliver sustained business value, largely because teams build passive prompt boxes that lack long-term habit formation. The solution appears when we go from static AI features to habit forming workflows using the AI Retention Flywheel. In this session, we’ll break down how to design loops of trust, context capture and proactive utility that turn one off interactions into multiplying product value. We will operationalize this framework through the retention.md spec. A lightweight markdown blueprint that teams can commit directly to their repositories to align on system boundaries, human agency and context memory.
