And, of course, they are all on Netflix, a name synonymous with two things: incredible storytelling that moves, surprises, and entertains us to the point of binge watching our favorite series; and a data driven system that feeds the content that we are most likely to consume.

But which really drives Netflix's success: is it the masterful storytelling or the data mastery that keeps us hooked?
