Uncertainty has surrounded humankind since the beginning of time. Through decision-making rooted in instincts, emotions, facts, and data, humans have unknowingly/unconsciously created the intricate world where we live today.

As technology has drastically evolved over the last centuries, we must ask ourselves:

<ul>
	<li>What can we tell about the kind of world we are building now?</li>
	<li>How can we leverage technology with the intention of making good decisions within complex environments?</li>
	<li>How can we solve problems we have never confronted before?</li>
</ul>

Through linking knowledge developed by Greek philosophers to the modern Complex Problem-Solving theory, we will discuss how data and people can challenge today&rsquo;s most pressing issues.

About the Professor:

Guillermo de Haro is the Academic Director for Graduate Program at IE University&#39;s School of Science and Technology.

He holds two doctorates (Engineering and Economics) an MBA Cum Laude (IE Business School), an MA in Communication and a MSc in Telematics. Guillermo has been teaching at IE for 20 years, is an entrepreneur in technological projects, and is a partner at Jot Down Cultural Magazine. He was a Strategic Development Manager at Technicolor Entertainment Services, digitising the company, COO at WorkCentre SGD, and Consultant at IBV Corp.

He is also the author of books like &quot;Corleone Business School&quot;, &quot;The Economic Spectator&quot; based on his radio show of the same name at Capital Radio.
