IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) is a 100% Made in Italy international network of excellence, operating in the fields of training and research, in the disciplines of Design, Fashion, Visual Communication and Management. Above all, IED is an evolving educational system with capability and dedication to reinventing itself on a daily basis.Its mission is widespread and clear: to offer young creatives a thorough training - both theoretical and practical – and hand them the ‘Design Knowledge and Mindset'.

El 8 de octubre, dentro de la programación oficial de la Barcelona Design Week 2025, el IED Barcelona celebra la jornada presencial “CREATIVE OPTIMISM x IED”, una doble propuesta que incluye un workshop y una exposición centradas en una mirada optimista y positiva de la creatividad y el diseño: Creative Optimism Workshop“Strategic Design for Regenerative Futures”Horario: 08 de octubre, a las 16:00hLugar: IED Barcelona Point One (C/Biada, 11 08012 Barcelona)Acceso: abierto al público bajo inscripción.El taller parte de que el futuro no está predeterminado, sino que se construye a través de elecciones y acciones intencionadas. Sedes IED invitadas: Bilbao, Madrid, Milano, Roma.

On October 8, as part of the official program for Barcelona Design Week 2025, IED Barcelona is hosting the in-person event “CREATIVE OPTIMISM x IED” event, a two-part program that includes a workshop and an exhibition focused on an optimistic and positive view of creativity and design: Creative Optimism Workshop“Strategic Design for Regenerative Futures”Time: October 8, at 4:00 p.m.Location: IED Barcelona Point One (C/Biada, 11 - 08012 Barcelona)Admission: open to the public upon registration. The workshop is based on the premise that the future is not predetermined, but rather constructed through intentional choices and actions. With this approach and with design as a powerful tool for social transformation, we will narrow the gap between what exists and what could exist, looking for positive signs in what will shape our own destinies and turning the abstract into a concrete strategy for change with an optimistic outlook.Creative Optimism Exhibition“IED Design Positive Attitude”Time: October 8, at 7:00 p.m.Location: IED Barcelona Point One (C/Biada, 11 08012 Barcelona)Admission: open to the public upon registration. It will showcase projects by students from the IED network from a positive perspective, with results from a variety of disciplines such as product design, interiors, fashion, graphic design, motion graphics, marketing, advertising, and communication, creating a range of fresh and desirable proposals for creative and optimistic design.
