You are about to make one of the most important decisions of your life, and IE is here to help you. Join our IMBA Open House in Tokyo and live the IE Experience. As part of the event, you will not only have the opportunity to mingle with other applicants, and IE alumni, but also hear from an IE professor, and the IE Admissions team! 
 
You will get all the information you need to complete your application process, participate in a fun and hands-on group workshop, and get insights from IE Alumni through a networking session. Furthermore, all members of the winning team of the hands-on workshop will be awarded: 
 
1) 50% scholarship for one of IE´s High Impact Online Programs (5 weeks long online courses that will help you to get ready for the IMBA journey) 
2) An invitation to the IMBA Dive-In event in Madrid with flight and accommodation covered by IE upon admission.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
 
Professor Jeff Char 
Jeffrey Char is a serial entrepreneur and investor. He is Founder &amp; Chairman at TRENDE, an online renewable energy retailer accelerating the widespread adoption of solar power in Japan and Founder &amp; CEO at SOGO Energy, a global network of innovative energy access companies in emerging markets. Prior to this he was Director of Corporate Venture Capital and a member of the Innovation Task Force at Tokyo Electric Power Company, the largest electric utility in Japan. Jeff is also Founder &amp; CEO at J-Seed Ventures and a professor teaching about entrepreneurship at IE Business School in Spain and Doshisha Business School in Japan. He founded, built and sold several successful ventures including Sozon, an online marketing company sold to ValueCommerce (TSE Mothers: 2491), Solis, a domain registrar sold to GMO Internet (TSE: 9449), SSK Technology, an electronics component company sold to Suzuki Manufacturing, and Pario Software, a network security company sold to Lucent Technologies (NYSE: ALU). Prior to becoming an entrepreneur Jeff was a corporate attorney in Silicon Valley and securities research analyst in Tokyo. Most of all, he enjoys teaching and mentoring young entrepreneurs. 
Jeff studied economics and business at Sophia University in Tokyo and law at the University of California, Berkeley and Harvard Law School. 
 
Tino Elgner 
Tino Elgner, Senior Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for the recruitment of roughly 700 talents for IE´s International MBA program (English &amp; Spanish tracks).
