El dúo Opera Flamenca ofrece un espectáculo flamenco nuevo por su formato y su inspiración.Hace cien años el flamenco vivió una breve pero intensa época que se conoce como Ópera Flamenca. Cantaores y cantaoras como Manolo Caracol, la Niña de les Pintes o Pepe Marchena triunfaron en los escenarios vistiendo el flamenco de copla, de soleá, de fandango, de guajira y de seguiriya. Los artistas mezclaban estos palos libremente, siguiendo su instinto creativo.El dúo Ópera Flamenca bebe de esta época para presentar un formato actualizado,donde los cantes y palos se enlazan los unos con los otros y se dan la mano sin que ninguno de ellos sea más flamenco que los otros.El resultado es una amalgama en la que cada pieza despliega un registro emocional variado, cargado de la nostalgia del flamenco antiguo, que al mismo tiempo se revitaliza con esa fuerza creativa sin complejos característica de la época de la Ópera Flamenca.
