The Comedy Schoolhouse

The Comedy Schoolhouse is the training center of The Comedy Clubhouse, putting CCH values into practice, students will study various comedy techniques, join the community, have fun, and make friends.

I﻿n this TV writing intensive, students will learn an overview of comedy writing structure and technique and get hands on experience creating the outline of a TV pilot and writing the opening scene.O﻿bjectives covered in this 10-hour course:<ul><li>Understanding the Basics of TV Comedy</li><li>Story Structure (A, B, C Storylines)</li><li>Crafting Compelling Characters</li><li>Writing an Effective Scene</li><li>Plotting Your Comedy Pilot</li><li>Writing Comedy That Works</li><li>Finalizing Your Pilot Outline</li></ul>About the teacher:Nina Ariana is a Barcelona-based American writer, producer and actress. Her television comedy pilot You Make Me Feel Lonely was a semi finalist in the Stage 32 2021 Comedy Writing Contest and was independently produced for the small screen. She has production credits on a range of short films including Fracture (Hulu 2022) as well as three completed tv drama scripts. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from University College Dublin.T﻿uition for this course is 150€ (120€ for early sign ups). A 20% deposit is required to secure your place. T﻿he location for the intensive is near the Girona (L4) metro, and the address will be given to registered participants only.
