Our next Team Alto adventure takes us to one of the most striking natural features in the region – La Foradà, the dramatic rock arch high above Benirrama in the Vall de Gallinera.
We’ll follow a circular route that climbs steadily through olive groves, pine forest, and old Moorish terraces before reaching the ridge. The views from the top stretch across the entire valley – and of course, we’ll have time to admire the incredible Foradà itself up close.
This could potentially be our final hike of the season, depending on how the weather shapes up – so it’s a great chance to finish strong and share the trail one more time before the summer heat sets in.
I know it’s a longer drive than some of our usual hikes, but I promise, it will be worth every step.
The route is around 9km with roughly 450m of elevation gain, mostly on well-marked trails. There’s a little rocky terrain up near the top, but nothing too challenging – just good shoes and a sense of adventure needed.
And while the official plan is a scenic hike and a good time with friends... let’s just say those who are up for something a bit different might want to bring their sense of daring. Nothing’s confirmed, but there may be a little extra challenge near the arch for the brave.
