Join Team Tossal for a scenic 10 km out-and-back hike along the Río Girona, starting from the quiet village of Tormos. This peaceful and mostly gentle route follows the riverbed as we make our way through lush surroundings towards one of the region’s hidden gems—the Presa d’Isbert (Isbert Dam).
With just 220m of ascent and a duration of around 3.5 hours, this walk is suitable for most hikers and perfect for those looking for a relaxed yet rewarding day out. One of the highlights of the route is passing through the hand-carved tunnel, originally dug to divert water during the dam's construction—a fun feature that gives the walk a touch of adventure (don’t forget your torch!).
The Isbert Dam, built in the early 20th century, was designed as a water management project, but due to the porous karstic rock beneath it, it was never able to hold water as intended. Today, it stands as an impressive, unused relic surrounded by dramatic cliffs and nature—a perfect place to pause and enjoy a snack before our return.
