And All That Snazz Showcase - Directed by Ali James

Join this mixed cast in a showcase performance after a full day of studying the art of dance and movement applied to improvised theater. Come and witness a story full of spectacular choreography and beautiful staging.

The Good, the Bad and the Funny - Dobrzy, Źli i Śmieszni (Poland)

Ready for a narrated hero’s journey? This long-form improvised musical features opposing forces of good and evil that often find themselves reconciled over the irresistible charm of the funny lyrics. It may be a fantastical tale of whimsical creatures defending their land or an intimate psychological struggle of a person standing up to their parents’ dreams.

Commiseration Cabaret - Featuring Festival Guests

Got problems? Wanna hear songs about 'em? In this special improvised cabaret performance, Ella Galt & and Joanna Kucharczyk spin your pet peeves, hangups and heartbreaks into sultry show-stopping musical numbers to make it all feel better. Perhaps your struggles will be magically solved through the miracle of music, or perhaps they'll only be made worse. Either way, your woes provide the material, and your hosts provide the jams.

In this special performance, festival guests Heather Urquhart & Ali James will be joining the pity party to riff and rhyme about all that's tough and bothersome!

Line up for Friday, June 28th:

Impro Big Bang Showace - Directed by Omar Argentino

Join this mixed cast in a showcase performance after just 2 days of studying the format! You’ll watch the whole show be composed right in front of you with improvisers, singers, and musicians following the guidance of director Omar Argentino. Everything is united by the language of Soundpainting.

Daltrocanto - Quinta Tinta OFF (Italy)

Daltrocanto is a narrative long-form show in a mediaeval-like setting. Every aspect of the show, from storytelling to playing musical instruments, singing, and acting is crafted on the spot by the ensemble. The result is a captivating and immersive show that transports the audience to a bygone era through spontaneity and creativity.

The BIG Improvised Musial - Barcelona Improv Group (Spain)

… is the hottest ticket in town for the opening (and closing) night of this never-before-seen and never-to-be-seen-again musical comedy, complete with show-stopping musical numbers, epic story lines, larger than life characters and a healthy dose of that Broadway sparkle. The audience provides one fabulous suggestion and the players and musician spin them into a brand new all-singing, all-dancing spectacular that will have you dancing in your seats and humming all the way home.

Line up for Saturday, June 29th:

Gothic Fairytales & Ghost Stories Showcase - Directed by Heather Urquhart & Joe Samuel

Join this mixed cast in a showcase performance after spending just two days exploring mysterious and dark story telling. In this show the cast will embrace troubled and tormented characters while navigating an eerie story with the help of powerful musical narrative.

Douze Points: The Improvised Eurovision Journey - Rainbow Warriors (Netherlands/Belgium)

Do you have any idea what it takes to make it to the main stage of Eurovision? No? Neither do Rainbow Warriors, which is why they’ll be improvising the performer’s journey it takes to get there. In their shows Rainbow Warriors like to play with challenging LGBTQ+ stereotypes. But when it comes to Eurovision they simply embrace it and just wanna sing and dance the hell out of it. Will it lead to douze points?

Voice Notes - Featuring Festival Guests

In the final show of the festival, Festival Guests (lead by Heather Urquhart & Joe Samuel) invite the audience’s input for a marvellously musical finale. Voice Notes integrates audience voice messages and uses them to inspire scenes and musical numbers. From messages from your mum to late night whispered love letters, your voices serve as the creative spark for this powerhouse ensemble to weave an unforgettable performance filled with laughter, music, and improvisation.
