The Gathering 2026

Georgetown University, O Street Northwest, Washington, DC, USAWashington, DC
Friday, Mar 27 at 9:30 am to Saturday, Mar 28 at 7 pm
Overview

Our annual flagship conference convenes students from universities across the US for a deep dialogue on the role Mexico plays in the world.

Why The Gathering?

More than a conference, The Gathering is a student-led platform for direct engagement. Participants interact closely with policymakers, diplomats, business leaders, innovators, and public servants shaping Mexico’s present and future, gaining first-hand insight into how ideas move from policy debates to real-world impact.

The Gathering features visits to multilateral development banks and think tanks in Washington DC, while the rest of the conference will be hosted in Georgetown University.

At a moment of profound global transformation, Mexico stands at the intersection of geopolitics, innovation, and economic change. From shifting trade dynamics and regional integration to technological disruption and new models of leadership, the country’s choices will shape its trajectory for decades to come.

The Gathering 2026 offers students a unique opportunity to explore:

  • Mexico’s evolving role in the global economy
  • The present and future of Mexico–U.S. relations
  • Innovation, leadership, and public service from Mexican changemakers
  • How policy, business, and technology interact in North America

Through panels, site visits, fireside chats, and dynamic conversations, participants engage critically with the ideas and actors driving Mexico’s shared innovative future.
